Here's my process on them:
The clear on them is anodized which = A BITCH to get off. I had to sand them with 320 grit paper (wet). After all the clear anodize is off, then you start moving in paper. I started with 400, went to 600, to 1000, to 1500 and finished it off with 2000. MAKE SURE that each grit is THOROUGH! Any skimping will result in scratches after polishing. I then rinse all the sanding residue off and polish them with a die grinder with a wool 3" pad with aluminum polish to get the main shine to them. I then wash the wheels with soapy water to remove any dirt or grime. Next I use Mother's Billet polish and a COTTON plain white undershirt T-Shirt to polish the wheels, then use a clean one to buff off the residue. You have to put some *** into it and really get it gleaming. Finally I assembled everything and used some spray wax to clean them off and protect them. Good luck to anyone doing their own polishing, let me know if you have any questions.
