I guess so. If you put a boost/vacuum gauge on a car's intake manifold, and that car makes more than 0 in/hg, then it made positive intake manifold pressure.

I guess so. If you put a boost/vacuum gauge on a car's intake manifold, and that car makes more than 0 in/hg, then it made positive intake manifold pressure.

true...however the whole point that was trying to be made is that buying that earls check valve (which evidently isnt cheap) is not necessary for these guys with naturally aspirated engines....even if it were to make 1 or 2 psi at full throttle in the higher rpms, its not going to be enough to hurt the braking, as the braking would not be done WHILE that small amount of positive pressure was being made
