^ Ignore him. He goes into all the $50 paint job / rattle can threads and says how shitty they are, how dumb the people are that do it, etc. It's kind of annoying, but what can you do? I just ignore him.

nice rattle can paint jobs come out decent looking if you take the time to prep the cars

Gonna be painting mine gloss white from Rustoleum in the coming month. Although, I'm gonna be spraying it out of an HVLP gun + compressor, as it's less work + less sanding

I posted my car on p. 17 right after I painted it. I never wetsanded, polished, or waxed the car for a few years and it became satin over time:
2008 ish:
2009:
Then I got tired of seeing satin so I wet sanded w/ 2000 grit & polished:
The best part is people ask what kind of paint and they say "No really" when I say I bought 12 cans of Rustoleum for $48. No clear coat either. I had a couple of extra cans in case I ever need to touch-up. Budget build

Hey real dx or anyone else when you say polished what do you guys use? I just finished my front end and rear bumper and wet sanded it, it has some shine but would like more. I used clear don't know if that matters.

Sanded it down not sure what grit but bout medium. Used article white from diplicolor exact match, 2 coats. Then sprayed gloss clear and wetsanded with 2000. I want to polish it up like teal dx did but not sure how?
