Rare/Expensive Parts Found at Junkyard
Just curious what are some of the rarest or expensive parts you guys have found at junk yards. Whether it be OEM optional, JDM, aftermarket, or any other things that people normally strip before a car goes to junk, for any honda/acura.
I'll start...
-b16a swapped into an EF hatch at the ontario, ca pick-a-part.
-ef ex model 5speed ecu, ontario, ca pick-a-part.

Re: Rare/Expensive Parts Found at Junkyard
Ive found a set of 1 piece headlights for a DA integra in Canada, not sure if Canadian integras came with one piece headlights or not. Also found a set of 9091 and 9293 accord foglights, both hard to come by in Ohio. That's about it though.

Re: Rare/Expensive Parts Found at Junkyard
I found a set of tein coilovers on a wrecked lexus sc300 and got the whole set for 100 bucks.
Its kinda cheating though cause it was my old lexus that I sold to some dumb crackhead and he wrecked it running from the cops.

Re: Rare/Expensive Parts Found at Junkyard
Although, I went to a few Bay Area junkyards earlier this week and I saw like ~5 DC's in one day. Whereas before I'd be lucky if I saw one DC every 10 trips. They're starting to become more plentiful as they age...I'm still waiting for 96-00 Civics to really hit the yards.

i always like going there to find things from other cars that may fit. For example, i had an ef sedan with a front lip from some early 90's volvo haha.

Although they just dropped in a black em1 a week ago but was too late for parts. That thing is gutted now.
My most luck was finding Buddy Club p1's but their was only 3, everytime i find good rims theres only 3 like if the 4th is hidden.

Found some JDM one piece DA headlights for $85 just a week or so ago. Also found some Eibach springs, but haven't picked them up yet.
Nothing super cool yet.

Re: Rare/Expensive Parts Found at Junkyard
Found two of these. 22mm ITR and CTR rear bars. ($36 with links...$20 with no links)
Del sol seats gray stripe (MINT): $40 Found a ton of those.
Miata LSD rear diff and crazy *** strut bar. Didn't take it because it was freezing.
rear Koni yellows on a GSR...couldn't take those because they were rusted in.
GSR full brake conversion for $75 total. Including calipers, rotors, lines, and e-brake cables. I can get this almost any day of the week.
S14 5 lug for my S13: $200 AND they removed it for me lol. Complete with rotors, brakes, lines, whatever. Came at the PERFECT time. I was getting ready to buy these wheels and buy a conversion kit from a website for like $500-700 or something else ridiculous. I was considering just selling it instead of buying anything...then...luck struck lol.
All this on the same car:
Cluster: $35
the 5 lug and wheels $350
Carbing radiator plate: free
Si/CTR front LCAs and 26mm sway bar: $50 (found twice)
CTR shift boot: free
The car also had Skunk2 coilovers that were taken by someone else, it was a champ white EM1 with all body parts in mint condition including a 99-00 front end and headlights and tail lights. I had a EG at the time, so I didn't think to take them..someone else got them. It also had some crazy looking in dash CD changer...it was OEM. Didn't think to take it...D'OH!
I'm sure there was a ton more stuff I've found. I'm always in the right place at the right time lol. My friends all hate me for it.
I remember telling my friend "I'm gonna go find a type R" just as a joke on the day I got the 5 lug conversion, etc.
I also had a feeling I'd find Konis on the day that I found those Konis. Too bad they were rusted in.
God likes me?
