my civic 98 coupe's paint is really getting bad because of people keying it and there is a dent with a crack that is starting to rust. So i am thinking about getting a mercedes benz blue mineral metallic paint job from maybe Maaco to SAVE some money. You think that is a good idea? Because I don't want to spend over $400 on paint job......suggestions would help.

macco does terrible job, you are expected to pay at least 2-3 for good paint job man..

well, the garage i spoke to today said they would do it for $1200. does that sound like a good offer?

if it has been keyed/ vandalized you should just report it to your insurance and have it all fixed up.

considering it has been keyed and it could get keyed again i would not go with something too crazy because later down the line it may be hard to color match after somebody f's up your hood or something!

ok, is it possible to get a certain area redone instead? like mainly for me its the rear passenger quarter panel.

nope, then the front end will fade faster then the rear..
might as well get the whole car painted.
