Default powerlines are dangerous (10 images) + 2 animations

I needed some QT with the camera today to try out a new filter I got. Got a note of a freshly paved road and the air was somewhat clear today.
#1 So I set out for a drive...

#2 The freshly paved road was amazing.

#3 Where does it lead? To a very high point in my area. On one side...

#4 The other...I didn't know there was a lake in the area? Maybe it's on my campus.
Powerlines go on and on and on.
#5 I was warned.

#6 But I didn't care.

#7 It was a good cloud day.

#8 I had to venture down eventually, but stopped on the way.

#9 Then my car began to overheat, probably needs a tad bit of coolant.

#10 This road was awesome.

gee i don't know...it's a mystery

The road is sick. I need to videotape it, if you fell off the road you'd fall over 10 ft. at least in most areas.

I didn't go fast though, overheat b/c of letting car idle too long.

1. SECURE wrist strap around wrist.
2. hang arm out driver side window.
3. release shutter.
4. check and see if you aimed it right.
5. repeat if necessary.

Nice looking roads. You need a video camera on the bumper, and go for a ride on that road.

any shutter slower than 1/100 will be tough for a clear shot

I don't care about my plates. I  gathers.

I can't wait for when I do a shoot on that road and I'm not trying to drive a car at the same time. Many curves on the road that I wasn't comfortable with getting out of my car.
The road isn't busy at all, but we're going to block it off sometime and have some fun.

cool pics, that ef looks cool, you should paint the whole thing like the bluish color on your car

about the over heating, what elevation were you driving up to?

it can effect things if your car is tuned for sea level, but i've only really seen it when we cruise past like 7000ft.

It overheated b/c one time I was inspecting my radiator fan and I lost some coolant out of the top radiator hose. Just haven't refilled it since then.
All that with a plain ole digital rebel and a kit lense with a filter.
