ehhhh not really dbags. I'm not gonna get into it on this thread...but there definately is a difference in quality, function, and everything else. Like buying a chrysler 300C that looks like a bentley...or buying a real bentley.

Again, not getting into it. I have ADVANs on my S2000 and I use them for the track and for street miles. I've even crashed the car at the track with them...the steering rack broke...but the rims were 100% FINE! I have rotas on my civic because it's just my DD...I don't wanna spend a lot on that car but I still want it to look good.

I've discussed too much already. Just saying that there IS a genuine reason to get the real deal vs. getting rotas. That's all.

my genuine reason for not getting real wheels are that I really didn't know the difference and I couldn't afford some real deal top dog wheels. One day tho

But I really don't understand why people have to knock people for having Rota's. We all have the same passion just different budgets

There's a semi-tangible reason behind it. It's hard to explain.

seriously guys, what does it say at the top of the page and on the top of all of your posts?

The whole fake vs real thing has been discussed to death and it has no place in this thread. Get over it.

Now back to our regularly scheduled Rota wheels.

They look pretty good on your car bro. Just pop off the Rota center cap and torque em down with some Rays black lug nuts, theyll look fresh!

Probably are.

Since the real Volks, I believe, gave the wheels more spokes after the 16" sizing. So 16" and down, are 8 spoke wheels. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, I rolled the fronts and backs. It was definitely needed in the fronts for the tires to turn all the way, I rolled the back just to be safe. I don't have any camber kits at all, so with how low my car is, the fronts have 3.9 degrees of camber and the backs have 3.0 degrees of camber so this helps them the tires to fit just right. I learned a good trick instead of bat rolling, I used a 3lb hammer that has a flat head and a 2x4 piece of wood. With the wheel off, you hit the edge of the fender you want rolled up with the hammer and firmly support outside the fender onthe opposite side of the impact area with the 2x4. It kept the fender super straight and flat and not wavy like some wheel roll and hammer jobs I have seen. I was told if you sand the paint on the inside of the fender it won't peel or crack. I didn't do this cause I was lazy and paint came off a tiny, tiny area on the inside edge one fender, but touched it up and it looks great. I was suprised how easy it was to roll them and how great it came out. After rolling I had some definite rubbing with the wheels all the way turned, so on the fronts I pulled with my fingers on the middle vertical wall area of the fender to pull it out a bit it would clear the tire better, now no rubbing. Didn't have to take off the fender liner either.

By the way, I am selling the wheel and tire setup for $500 if you are interested. The rims are only 2 week olds, have all center caps, with no curbage or damage and the tires are continental 195/50/15 with 40-50% tread left. It seems you live in San Jose and the shipping fee's wouldn't be worth it, but if you happened to come to the South Bay Los Angeles/Burbank they are available. I will be posting them on Hondamarketplace and craigslist pretty soon, so if you are interested let me know.

damn that's a lot of camber.

I've used the aluminum bat trick on a few cars, worked out well for me so far

Too bad your tires are pure ****, if they were at least decent tires (e.g. Falken Ziex 912 or better) then I'd be interested in the set.

I hear ya about the tires, Came with the rims, look good from afar though, lol. Glad you know how to roll fenders nicely with a bat, I just saw a car where the owner had a pretty rough time with it and the results were not nice. take care!
