I think it is more for sequential shifter set-ups where its not a standard H. Where you can only move the shifter up or down.

and for the brainiacs who are oh so repetitive on the "losing track of ur current gear" i highly doubt its actual creation was to remind you what gear you are in... whats the difference between having numbers embroidered into the leather ****, or digital display showing the same exact thing..?? did they emboss numbers into the stainless/leather ***** to remind us what gear we're in, doubt it.. its simply there just for the cause, that its a shift **** and should display gear location.. i wonder how many more genius's are gonna point that out..

I'm one of those "braniacs" you mention, so...point taken. I see what you're saying.

However, I still think this a piece of ricey trash, regardless of what its intended function is for. I would laugh if I actually saw someone's car with this **** in it

I understand what ur sayin, it is an overpriced accessory that could be done without, but the simple creation of this thread was just based on the idea of'm... I never said i wanted one or was gonna buy one, i just heard about it & seen it on youtube so i figured id see if anyone out there actually invested in one and what kinda feedback people had on them that's all... I knew there was gonna be 20x the amount of negatives as positives, but thats what we're here for is to base opinions on what we think... So negative or positive, i still appreciate the feedback..

Well most likely your motor will talk for you, but maybe "FAIL" would be more along the lines of some peoples language

It's a weird shape and lights up. ****, if it vibrates I bet a bunch of girls would get it.

i think its gonna be love-or-hate on that thing, but i think it looks pretty sweet honestly, most of the time no its not hard to lose track of what gear your in, but its an aesthetic thing

ALTHOUGH, my friend had this nissan stanza in 5 speed a long time ago, and the gear box in it was screwed up, so you could literally move his stick in like all directions when it was engaged in gear and i lost track of what gear i was in ALL the time lol, and so did he hahaha

As imacoolkid said, you put the **** on the car and run it through a couple a shifts to let it "learn" the position of the gears.
