Here is a pic of the 1st to 2nd shift fork as u can notice if u look its bent
Now this pic shows the 3rd to 4th gear shift fork u can notice the difference in thickness and that the 1st to 2nd gear shift fork is rather long and has no support.
here is what im going to get welded up to reinforce

Re: D series shift forks reniforcement pics and info (Bailhatch)
good luck
as a matter of fact today i broke the first shift fork on my turbo D
heres a pic
i have a spare one, but i wish honda made them on steel.. for the 88-91 tranies... this is the 3rd one i have broken so far
i might try to have it cnc machined in steel and see

I dont know if is a good idea to weld a bracket like that.I think it would be better to make it similiar to the shift fork were it slips over the shaft and then gets welded 360 degrees around it.If the welds on the bracket breaks and it falls into the tranny....oh boy...I would like to see the pics of that

that a pic of the diff pin,,, and how worn out it can be on many trannies
and here are some aftermath pics of a kaboom tranny

btw if the welds brake.. theres a magnet inside the tranny that at least will hold it

Re: D series shift forks reniforcement pics and info (BauleyCivic)
from the steel shift forks it looks like JDMCRX is using a Y8 tranny...unless its like a ZC? (which I have no idea if they come with steel forks)

Its a Y8 tranny no the bracket will be a 3/8" steel rod cut and notch out. It will be fully tig welded as for warping i think ill bend it the opiside way a bit and tigg it. If it warps then ill have to get another one i think the fork is like 30 from honda.

A little of topic but did you use a out of the box cable to hydro clutch conversion kit or you fab one yourself to get the Y8 to work in the CRX?
