OT: My Brother's new project
Many of you might know my brother's previous car. It was the cow spray painted civic hatchback w/ the B20Vtec. If you dont' know here is a picture: As per my brothers request he wanted me to show you guy's his new project. The car is a '88 Mazda RX7 and the motor is a LT1 (Chevy V8). I'm pretty stoked about getting this thing ready and running because estimated 1/4 times are high 12's w/ stock exhaust and everything. Here's some pics. Lemme know what you think
As soon as the weather gets a little warmer we are going to install the motor and hopefully take her for a spin in time for the March 9th H-Tech meet in Columbus.

awww.... he should have gotten a 1st gen rx7! i believe they are even lighter, and the swap is the same. when i had my 7 i was going to do this swap but it just never happend and i sold the car. a 2300 lbs car with around 350hp, yes you will NEED big tires if you wanna go anywhere. hehe just for kiks you should leave the stock rubbers on and practice traction loss, lol.

you changed your avatar, is that your car now? or did you just throw out the old one because your bro sold it?

Actually, he sold it with a JDM B16 in it, he sold the B20Vtec seperately... I'd say he came out ahead. hehehe

Dude, that thing is going to be killer... There's one out here that has a V* motor and a 50 or 75 shot. And he runs low 12's or high 11's(should have been last year). But when he went down the track he couldnt even hook up on the track and all most hit the wall.
With drag slicks on it(hahaha).

Re: OT: My Brother's new project
I also don't like swapping in a V8 in place of the rotary...nor the V8's into the old Z cars...just kind of ruins their design IMO. But good luck to him nonetheless, because in the end it's his car for him to have fun with, not mine.
