myrtle beach = rice capital of the world???
hey guys, i just got back from vacation in myrtle beach with my fiance...and all i can say is that i never saw so many ricebuckets in my life...
i mean, i can always appreciate a car that someone has spent alot of money on the appearance...but it seriously looked like the entire population went to pep-boys and bought everything they could...of course i like the sleeper look but as stated before, i definitely can appreciate when someone tastefully adds a bodykit, or wing or whatever...
but this place was REDICULOUS...every other car had a loud muffler and altezzas, i have never seen such a gross display of rice...
has anyone else experienced this in the myrtle beach area or others???

i go to myrtle beach ever summer for vacation and i know what you're talking about.
Ocean Blvd. from 9:00pm - 2:00am is where the ricers cruise their 'tricked out' cars.
i met some really cool guys from Epik Motorsports there. they're putting a skyline engine in a 5 series BMW. i got to check it out.

you guys think its bad when you've been there, try going during Sun Fun. And yes, the vast majority of cars here in the south are built by Pep-Boys.

I couldn't agree more. I go there every year too and I want to hang myself everytime I see the gross display of ricism down there.

i know exactly what your talking about. myrtle beach is the rice capitol. nothing but chrome rimmz, altezzas, washer nozzle lights, and neon lights. and all the trucks have a huge *** lift with dual exhaust and altezzas.

there are some crazy lifted up trucks there.
a few of them had tires that looked like 60 inchers... i don't know if that's what they were, but they were big.
i was sitting at a redlight on my way to my hotel and i looked in my rearview mirror and i could completely see under the truck behind me. that was scarry.
the tires themselves were as high as my car.
it seems like anything there is legal....

Re: myrtle beach = rice capital of the world??? (DanielLaruso)
I went about 3 weeks ago. It seemed like people were trying to have the biggest possible wing on their car. I did however see a few nice RX-7's and a couple of clean SI's. For the most part though your right nothing but loud *** mufflers and big *** wings.

nah i think it slowed down. I dont see nearly as many altezzas as I did 2 years ago. Come to think of it I only see maybe 1-2 sets of altezzas a day.
