Damn man, don't even say that. I hope you NEVER have to deal with this ****. It is the most horrible feeling you could ever imagine. It is like losing a loved one, but there is no closure and when there is, you brace for the worst...Just one little speck of optimism against a wall of pessimism...
I am pretty sure my car is a complete loss by now, so all that remains is hope for justice. I guess it is just a matter of time before these folks slip up.

Re: (wakaranai)
damn man, sorry to hear about your car.I work downtown too and I was very tempted to drive my hatch to work on Sunday,I pulled it out of the garage drove a few blocks then turned around and put it right back.My rule of thumb is to not drive the car if im going to leave it alone for longer then 10 minutes. Its very sad when you have to watch over your car so much.Thieves are scum.I wish you luck on finding your car and I will definitely keep my eyes open.

Yeah its possible that it's collecting dust and/or parking tickets in some parking garage somewhere. That's what happened to my brother's car when it was stolen in SF. His was pretty complete and still have the engine when it turned up so I hope yours turns up in the same state. Good luck brother

Re: (Smokinsax)
This hits a little close to home for me, so I did some searching around. I thought: What's a great black market to sell cheap stolen car parts to people across the world with no questions asked? Answer: eBay.
I did a quick search on eBay motors for d16z6 within 50 miles of the Bay, and the only things that came up are a d16z6 valvetrain, valve cover, and VTEC solenoid. Results I got are all from a private party, really cheap, and the same guy.
What's your valve cover look like? I know there are plenty who may be parting out a D16Z6, but this guy's in San Francisco, and I thought it may occupy your time and get you looking around some more. Take a look at the valve cover, and if it's of comparable appearance, you may want to contact some help.
Here're the links.
Search results:
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/_C...is=50
Head
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...36908
VC
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...37960
VS
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...39510
I'm not going to point any fingers, because this is just vague as it gets, but I'm just going to say I hope the best for you, and if anything, maybe you'll be able to catch someone with a little detective work.
EDIT: double checked his store and searched under CIVIC. He's got some nothing parts which are for buy it now, and the only things that are not new are the parts listed above. The old D16Z6 engine parts are the only things for bid. Again, I'm not pointing fingers, but maybe you should be looking around craigslist and eBay for evidence that could possibly lead you towards your culprits.

Re: (Stefndogg)
^^^Yeah man, terrible luck. The car stuff is just the beginning. My car was stolen from Bush and Jones. I am debating wether to pay a ridiculously overpriced monthly parking garaged fee just to keep my crap safe. I am a full time college student and work as well. I wrench away at my car during my very few free hours. Unfortunately, I am too passionate about cars to quit. I am so sick of this crap man. I work my *** off just so that some ignorant scum bag could ruin my life....I am so happy that I am finally moving to Japan at the end of this year. People actually respect others' things there.
BlackoutVTi--Thanks for the heads up and the support. I have been checking out craigslist everyday, but not ebay. That valve cover is from the later d16z6. My car was a 93 so it had the very simple valve cover with a honda symbol on it.

Re: (wakaranai)
Alright dude. Just thought it was worth a look to keep things going. I hope you find your car man. This happens all too often, especially in the Bay and Southern Cali, and...well, it just happens too often everywhere. Good luck in finding any evidence dude.
