First time with carbon fiber or kevlar. It's just a simple overlay. I used regular, old Elmer's fiberglass resin.

I tried messing with some epoxy, but for overlays, it wanted to flatten out too much.

Maybe I'll try some epoxy with a mold.

Ill pay lol</TD></TR></TABLE>

I didn't know LS/B20 motors had plug covers! If you'd like, I just need a picture.

Man, I have no idea. Let me perfect this stuff, and I'll let you all know.

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

Good stuff man. I know how hard this can be, I tried it on my door pillars. It looked ok from a far. But the resin would kinda chunk up. I never thought about using the fiber glass resin. There is a web sit I used to go to and get a yrd of carbon fiber for like $35. If I find it I'll let you know.

Well.... they don't. One of the things I hate about my LS is that dirt and rocks get all down in that spark-plug area. If you figure-out a nice looking way to add one, I'd jump right on this boat. I wonder if anyone has done it yet...?

I didn't use epoxy on this. I used resin.

When I tried some epoxy, it DID flatten out. Right now, I'm in the process of making a mold, that way, I CAN use epoxy, which, from what I hear, will have a much nicer finish.

I'm sure we have some LS valve cover(s) around for you to make one for the B20 then. I'm pretty sure Don has an LS valve cover. Maybe I should get a kevlar one and powdercoat the VC the burnt orange.
