Meet Gemma. 36,156 orginial miles.
Meet who I am calling Gemma. I picked her up this morning and she is something quite remarkable. A Gem, hence the name.
She started her life in 1991 and has been in one family until I acquired her. She is 100% bone stock and will remain that way for a while. She will serve as my daily for quite some time and I couldnt be happier.
She's blue on blue, is a 4 speed, manual doors, locks, steering, and only has one driver side mirror. She is bare bones and I wouldve loved to meet her original purchaser. He passed away in 1997 and gave the car to his daughter, whom I bought the car from today.
She told me he walked into the Honda dealer in Wilkes Barre PA in 1990 and wanted the cheapest honda he could buy. Here it is.
I'll post up more pics soon when its a lil nicer out, but I just wanted to get some up. I have been mean in mentioning to some of my friends I got something and refused to tell them what til now.
I also made this thread to keep hope alive. I know people get down about 'the market' of shells around. I dont come on honda-tech much anymore, but this, She, is something rare. She's proof that there are these honda 'barnfinds' out there and that you just have to remember to be patient and dilligent. They Do exist. I stumbled upon her on dumbluck and couldnt be happier. Hope you like it as much as I do and I wish everyone lookin for a car right now the best of luck finding something like this or exactly what you want. Just wanted to share.

Wow, what a beautiful car! I love the look on your face in the photo with the for sale sign. I can almost feel what you must have been feeling upon seeing it for the first time
I say give those side moldings a little SEM or back to black love for an even cleaner oem appearance

lol, too funny
OP, very nice p/u!! Honestly, the only thing that really looks aged on that car, are the wiper arms (not black anymore)
I bought my 1st civic brand spanking new in 1989, it was a DX hatch. Here in Canada, cars were and still are a lot more expensive. I paid $11,000 to the penny back then which was $1500 less than retail for that model at the time

I'll answer the price question this way...
I couldve bought 3 of these Ef's for the price I paid to get my NSX M7's.
As of now, not gonna lower it, put on wheels, or swap it. Just going to enjoy it, buy some ventshades, and get a cd player
thank you for all the kind words guys. Even got an offer for it on another forum, lol.

NSX m7's....hmmmmm
thats a good price dude.
Nice find. Been looking for anything just to beat on myself but Cali rage price for what you paid would only get me one 5x as many miles with some bullet holes or what not

That's cool... but it's still a Honda... Not gonna be worth anything significant.
Based on that comment, I'll take it you paid in the $2k range for the car. Kudos on the find. I think I'd be more excited if this were something more rare like a 67 fastback Mustang.
