No, it was going 25 mph. What a hell of a race.

Especially the parts where my brakes seized up and I slid.

ok guys,

Yeah I'm willing to sell my old swap, Motor tranny ECU + extra ECu but I kinda wanted 500 for thw whole thing,

OK UPDATE:
I'm leaving in an hour for a few days, Some of you know where my car is,
and Some said they would chek it out ans see if they can figure it out,
If i come backl and my engine is running, If it starts up and runs, the engine
Then I will pay you.

Here is whats happening,

I turn the key, and it just turns and tries to backfire over and over,

SO, It just not firing up,
It still needs, Thermostat Housing ground, and ECT to be connected, and just checked over,

But I know its somthing small, so fix it and you'll get a little money,
NOW nothing big becuase people said they would do it for free, but I will give somthing.

So I'm outa here, Kris and Danny know where it is etc...

I SWAR If it gets stoeln I'll be pissed!,

Other than that have at it, and I'll let them know you gys might stop by

The ground for the thermostat housing is built into the wiring harness, it should be there.

eh you might want to do that now, dont take a chance with it....a friends buddy didnt heed the advice of me and some friends about replacing the timig belt and water pump....20 mins of driving the timing belt snapped and popped the engine. when a engine sits for a while rubber tends to get weak. its not worth the risk IMO.

the engine was also from HMO. steve tells everyone you need to get those term of service specs dont for him to honor his warranty.

Yes I know.. but I didnt have the crank pulley tool, and i didnt have access to an impact gun and I NEEDED the car to be running and drivable today. I did this all in my dorm parking lot and I have to be out tomorrow..

And yes i know im taking a chance with the belt.. i have no other choice though.. I wanted to do it while the motor was out, but i just couldnt get the pulley bolt loose. I have the timing belt, water pump tensioner sitting right beside me.. I just couldnt do it, and i needed the car ready today.. so i had no other choice.. but all that stuff is first thing on my list monday when i get settled into my new place.

That is the most important ground im telling you, i beleive that is the ground for the ecu, no ecu no workie workie, lol.

Find it, its on the harness, trace it back from your dizzy plugs and its boud to be there, its a loopy thing with like 4 wires attached to it.

Ok thanks guys for the information

I'm 300+ miles away so I guess its going to have to wait untill sunday,
Unless some one gets bored and wants to stop by and check it out for me

ANYWAY, Thee is one other problem, I'm using the old ls halfshaft and axles,
I heard the B16 halfshaft was 1" shorter than the ls, that would mean that the ls would not bolt up, becuase I tried and it didnt align, But I may not have had it all the way in,

yeah I'm getting excited, becuase I'm wanting to get the car ready for th BG meet June 10th,

As soon as I get it running she is going into the body shop, 100% body work and custom Paint! Not sure what White,

And then I need to do the 100% complete Blue to Black intr. Including the dash,

I'm also getting the seats redone and the DA armrest, and getting New carpet!

So much to do in so little time!

the ls one will bolt-up,,,its just that if you use the b16 one you have to use gen1 teg axles.
BTW the b16 one is longer i believe.

Nice progress. Wish I still like the car I built/restored in high school (75 malibu). Sounds like your starting problem is something small. Check inside the dist. cap to make sure the connections are good and that everything isnt overly corroded. Get that ground connected and that **** should start to life. We did a LS swap into my friend CRX and starting it was way easy. It was everything else that was a bitch. Good luck to you.
