NICE! I love J-Swapped Civics. Never seen one that didnt clear the hood tho, usually you are able to close them. You can use the 3.7L manifold from the '09 TL for a lot more power, half the weight, and better clearance.

Very Nice cars. Ever taken those to the track? Sparta Race track in St.Thomas?
I'd love to see them go.
Does the J-Series have a manual tranny? 6speed or 5speed?

Very sick whips guys. The concept of the j-swap is sick, sitting in the bay it looks so enticing. Calling it a monster is an understatement, but the overall height of the motor installed is a huge turn-off, it's the 2nd ek-j i've seen & the hood issue just doesn't do it for me.
Nevertheless job well done for both owners.

I had to correct my post, there was confusion, mis-information, as well as updated information w/ reference pages.
The following is weights of engines w/out the transmission, in most cases add 35-42kgs for d/b/h (trans.)
D- SERIES weighs roughly 106kg ZC 113kg
http://www.automotiveforums.com/t129662.html
B- SERIES weighs roughly 145kg
https://honda-tech.com/forums/hybrid-engine-swaps-18/swap-weight-b-series-engine-tranny-axles-169929/
H- SERIES weighs roughly 175kg
https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169929
K-SERIES ENGINE weighs roughly 147kg
http://www.team-integra.net/forum/di...ion=3&get=last
J-SERIES (J30) weighs roughly 110kg (factory) I'm lead to believe this is engine only-longblock w/ out the external components installed
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_J_engine
a J35 is rumored to be 9-11kgs' heavier

My girlfriend drives a 2006 Saturn Vue that has a GM put a Honda J35 in it. I wanna steal it and swap it into an DC or EG. lol
Maybe I can get an EG and then steal her engine and swap the D into it. She drives so slow she would never notice. LOL
