does that work on any type of metal, or does it have to be titanium?

The easiest way to do it is to make sure your car is fully cold, start it up, and keep the gas on the rev limit for about 7-8 minutes until your exhaust get to hot it burns the tip...

What does it is the cold air from the outside mixing with the hot air coming from the exhaust, the mixture of the two makes the tip change colors.
