No, they never made automatic Z06's, but it's pretty safe to assume that if a car can go 11.8's with 405 HP that a car with virtually the same weight, slightly more power, and more torque, with a good auto isn't going to run much more than a few tenths slower.

How many of you guys that are taking the time to hate on him for buying an automatic Vette have rode in a RWD car with even a moderately high stall? His automatic car with a decent stall in it will **** on most of the cars that are going to bump into on the street.
C_rogue if you feel as though driving around in your 5spd Integra is more dignifying then an auto C6 more power to you, but I don’t think that you are being real to yourself when you say that.

For the auto comments... That auto tranny probably shifts faster then most of you can dream of doing. Yea whatever he wont be able to control and play as much. But those things are wicked crazy and auto's are not bad in alot of case's, you have to Remember Its Not a stock honda 4cly with an auto tranny starving to get itself up a hill.

I think what most people are saying is that when you pay that much for a car you'd hope it would have a nicer interior. There are nicer interiors in cars a lot cheaper than a vette.

C5's go for around 20k. Surprised? And the interior is not what interests me in the Corvette.

Yes I have driven a C6 6 speed. Rather extensively as well. Got up to about 130 on the freeway from a 10mph roll. Didn't seem that fast but I also had been in a 500hp civic, then after the C6 a 2005 E55 AMG. So the smoothness of the Corvette probably played a roll. I had more fun driving a stock s2000 and the E55 more than the vette honestly. Still a sick car though

Eh, the auto is just as fast as the 6 speed, and way more consistent, this is for drag racing mind you. But with that being said, if i'm going to buy a sports car, its definetly not going to be an automatic. Its still a nice car, but i'd prefer the 6 speed.

I dont care about it being auto, but that radio/center console area looks like ****. I also hate how they painted inside the headlights. Not a fan of that color in paticular but the car overall gets a from me. I'd rather have the new Charger.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the new Corvette, but ****, this thing is a sportscar, and the ****** is made to go fast and not only in a straight line. I dunno about you guys, but if I'm out on a road course, I'd definetly want the manual transmission. If you're dragracing, get the automatic, since dragracing is for pussies anyways.

I had respect for everything that you said up until the drag racing is for pussies comment. I'd think by the reading the rest of your post that you would be someone that had a little bit more maturity then that. It all comes down to personal preference. Some people prefer drag racing some people like road racing.
