Engine Detailing
Has anyone here ever taken their car to a dealership or shop to get the engine detailed?
If so were you satisfied, how much did it cost etc?
and if anyone from NoVA knows a good place lemme know. I am debating wether i should get it done somewhere or be not lazy and do it myself.

Do it yourself dude. They will basically do the same thing.
Let it cool, spray it off, engine degreaser, spray again, tire foam, shut hood, start car, turn off car, open hood, armorAll all the black pieces and wipe down with towels. Straight blingin yo.

Yea, the tire foam is what ads bling, but it does not seem to over spray as bad as the liquid form. I have done this repeated times and feel as if it works very well. The only thing that sucks is after you add some type of bling as in silicone, dirt loves to stick to it.
Seriously guys, there is nothing to it. Cover up your intake if you have an aftermarket one, and cover up your distributor, and then get the bay wet, and just spray the whole thing down with simple green. Let it sit there for a few minutes, and spray it off. You can repeat this step if necessary, and then spray the tire foam on it and close the hood. Turn the engine on for a few moments, and then back off, and open the hood. Spray down with armorAll, and wipe it off. Do a good job on wiping the armorAll off. Try it out, and let us know how easy it is. You will be surprised with the results. I will post mine up tomorrow. Warning though. My engine bay is stock.

plastic paperbags...or whatever is waterproof. secure/seal the edges with tape if you must.

ok so i gave it a try and my gay *** mother F'ing arospeed plug wires leaked water into where my spark plugs sit and my car wouldn't run! i hope this isn't damaging to my engine, i let it sit and run longer and it seams fine now, im about to change my spark plug wires back to stock. other than that i can smell burning simple green and my engine is sparking!
