dug up some videos
i was big into the mazda scene, protege's actually when i had a protege5. formed a club/group called mazdasports in the process ( http://www.mazdasports.org ), we had a bunch of meets/mountain runs, etc.
heres some vids.
Mountain Run - June 6th 2004 - *Snowbowl*
http://www.mazdasports.org/med...l.mpg - this is the best vid, has the most action
MAM Dyno Day - January 22nd 2005
(my ek hatch is in this one.. putting down horrible numbers, this was prior to hondata and dyno tune, i said " im scared. " )
http://www.mazdasports.org/med...5.mpg
MAM Dyno Wars - March 12th 2005
http://www.mazdasports.org/med...5.wmv
an awesome malibu - http://www.mazdasports.org/media/malibubeast.wmv
BTW: protege engines are.... weak. the fs-de doesnt do as well as any honda motor when it comes to basic bolt on's, or even boost. so dont hate on the numbers too much! all of us know the fs-de is weak, but its nice to see what mods give us certain gains. all we really cared about was tearing it up on the mountains, its fun.

Re: dug up some videos (batmang)
Nice vid. You may want to try spicing up the shots with more frequent cuts on the "bland" scenes, about every 3-4 seconds. Chase cam shots were good. On front shots, consider raising the cam about 9" higher or further back to avoid rocks and debris on the low end.
Just some ideas. What editor did you use?

Re: (batmang)
mmm Snowbowl road. Been driving it for years now, and I still have a blast going up it. Although it has claimed quite a few of my friends cars, I would have to say its one of my favorite drives around. Plus the elevation loves to rob power.

all the footage was taken with hi-8 camcorders, as for editing, i used pinnacle studio 9.
