haha... dont use paint... youll need crayons.. waht ever color u want to use and sum clear nail polish and a blow dryer or sum source of heat .... all u do is get sumthing shap like a tooth pick or sumthing to clean out your numbers and lines... once cleaned out u can use the blow dryer to melt your crayon... then just color in the lines try to mash the crayon in there so it fills up really nice... wait like 10 secs and wipe the excess with a rag or napkin.. kinda like you buffin out your car clean up the edge with the sharp object... your done.. now add a coat of clear nail polish let it dry and a new shift **** is ready for you .. you might have to try it ia few times..i did to get it looking clean... you can just take out the color with a pick if you dont like it

the only problem i see is the crayon rubbing off with your hand just like it rubbed off with the towel or whatever..it has no surface adhesian so whats gonna make the wax stick to the rubber?...nothing...the clear nail polush dosent do anything except make the wax shiney..id suggest scuffing the grooves with some sort of scuff pad or somthing then using model hobby paint and then using the clear nail polish to seal the paint from being discolored from dirty hands or whatever else may happen to it..nice diy though..makes the ugly *** gsr shift **** look 50% better
