Has anyone tried those LED 1157 bulbs they sell at places like AutoZone? I don't really want to spend $7 per bulb unless they're worth it. :\

I just put some clear tails on and the red bulbs look slightly pink. Will red LED 1157's really fix that problem? Are they anywhere near as bright as normal bulbs?

I wasn't able to find actual red 1156 bulbs for the turn signals, so I had to use a clear with a red "gel cap" and it looks really neon pink. Not a real big fan of having that color coming from my car. I'm probably just going to put some amber bulbs in there instead...

Is there anything I can do about the side marker 194/168 bulbs? I got red bulbs and I got red caps, but they look pink with or without the caps. I pulled them out for now.

If they're high intensity led they are two to three times brighter than normal lights but if you take red and white which is prettymuch what the clear lenses are anyways you'll usually get pink i'd try and find out if you already wasted your money on the clear tails

I bought them with the intention of painting them to make them into 98+ style tails (red turn signal), but I figured I'd put them on and see how they looked clear. They'd be alright if it weren't for the pink light. The brake lights do look red, but are slightly dim and have some pink in them. I'm wondering if a brighter red bulb would make it look better.

I can guarantee the High Intensity LED lights will be brighter and more red than the usual bulbs. But I don't know if they make it exactly what you want. Anyways $7 isn't much to pay for one to test it and you can always take it back if you keep the reciept.
