Do you guys just cover up the air filter, cover the bay in that simple green cleaner, and then rinse it off? If I do this to my civic, should I be worried about shorting anything out? I've been driving and building cars for 10 year now, and I still don't know how to clean my engine bay right

just cover the distributor and air filter (if it's the open element type) with plastic bags, spray on simple green, wait for awhile and rinse with water.

when cleaning the motor with this green stuff do you clean the car while the motor is hot or after it cools down? and what exactly is the name of this green stuff, i need to know badd see for yourself
