cf lip/cf hood clear coat?
I just got a cf lip and a cf hood for my car, and i read somewhere that you should clear coat carbon fiber so the sun doesnt burn it, and just occasionally put a coat of wax on it, how much should this cost?
I called one of the best painting shops in town, but they mostly do classic cars and restoration jobs, so maybe they don't know much about cf, but he quoted me 500 bucks to clear coat the hood and lip. And he also said he doesnt know how they would even do it, b/c they would have to sand it down, which would remove the fiber optic apeal....
What do i do?

Re: (Spectrum24x)
Your lip and hood should already have clear coat on it. You should only reclear it if its faded or oxidized...but ive never heard of people reapplying clear coat on new lips or hoods
