do it yourself, learn how and you can do it yourself, real CTR headlamps are gunmetal, so i wouldnt exactly call these black housed headlamps, "CTR Style". dont mean to be a smartass, just had to point out the obvious

Sorry to thread jack but I didn't spend $400 on mine and they do a lot more then black for the look of the car's IMO. They also have a City light which may be "stupid and pointless" to the people who do not care. But that's also what set's me apart form other's in my area . #1 of 2 to have CTR headlight's in this area.. The White Coupe in the picture is #2..

The City light is used to shine on the reflective part without having the headlight's themselves on.. Just for people to see you coming.

Fake:

Real: Bad pic of them, makes them look more chrome than gunmetal.

So far for my opinion, the real ones. Much more subtle, but the aim and light pattern is FAR superior to the fakes.

Hey I'm not saying those $400+ JDM headlights suck I just can't justify spending that much money for headlights. It's my opinion.

whatever dude, that has nothing to do with it. they're headlights.
and no, I do not spend $400 on shoes thankyouverymuch.

i agree with the beam pattern, i was much happier with my stock beam pattern than i am with my aftermarket black ones. i am just going to swap the reflector housings around to get the better ones.

I'd have to agree. REAL CTR's and Sylvania Silverstar's is the best thing I've ever done.

CTR's being a "JDM Bling factor" is nothing special to me. I really like gunmetal better then black. I personally like the City light's and parking light's as the sun goes down... That's just how I roll.

Did you really bring that back from elementary school and say "thinkyouverymuch"?

I like black housing headlights. The only reason I like the real ctr ones better is because the few of my friends who got the aftermarket ones start to haze after a little while and gather moisture sometimes. Plus they don't seem to give out as good as light as real OEM headlights do.

mine started getting moisture in one of them which annoys the crap out of me, and i definately noticed a difference in light output versus the oem ones i had before. both with the same PIAA bulbs too. big difference

yeah, i would do it myself...but the problem is i need new headlights (in other words, i crashed and shattered one)...and yeah, i understand that the fakes are black instead of gunmetal...but that is still what they are referred to alot of the time. (when you buy the aftermarket ones)

imo gunmetal looks much cleaner than black... but to each his own. i would never black it out.
