Re: Best way to remove pinstrips (CONERNR)
Get them hot with a hairdryer and peel them off. Remove the residue with soapy (diswashing liquid) water. I say take the pinstripes off and don't put the graphics on.

Use laquer thinner if they are painted on........you just have to be careful you don't rub until your paint underneath comes off.......wash the car then wax it afterwards........no problems.

I wouldn't put laquer thinner near my paint. I let my car sit in the sun for the afternoon, then used a hair dryer to get the pinstripe even hotter...3m makes some stuff that takes off the glue.

Re: Best way to remove pinstrips (CONERNR)
If you go to a Automotive paint supply shop they sell an atachment that is rubberized. It acts like an eraser and can be used on a drill. This is what body shops use to remove pinstripes. If you use this item, after clean the residue with some 3M adhesive remover and then apply a decent compound to smooth the paint out. This is the easier way to do it but the other methods stated will work fine, just take longer and you will sacrifice fingernails, and finger meat with all the picking

Re: Best way to remove pinstrips (hyperrevsports)
I'd reccomend a heat gun (hair dryer will work) and just peel the stripes off. Then use 3m adhesive remover to clean things up. I use a rubber pinstripe removal tool but if you haven't used one it's extremely easy to melt your paint off. I'd suggest leaving the decals off too, it looks clean and if your taste ever changes it's like removing 500 pinstripes....it's a bitch
