I am almost done stripping out all of the interrior paint, then I will paint it!! 

It almost matches the exterrior now:

i want to strip all the sound deadening out of the interior of my hatch.. when i clean it with.. cleaner, the paint comes off, makes pink rags

you gonna paint it Spoon grey??? Just use Hammerite smooth grey...makes for a perfect interior/engine bay paint. Indiustrial strength with a smooth grey finish.
great looking hatch but why are you going through all that trouble to paint the interior? all i did was do a major scrub down with some laquer thinner, vacuum, final clean it, and then shoot the paint and clear. it looks great! it's that simple. no stripping needed at all.

Yea, I just took my time doing it and am still not close to done. I still need to prep it some more so that it will be ready for some paint.

well it looks really good.. no carpet huh? ever? i have to keep the carpet in, rains in washington, feet slip around on the metal..

Yea, that really sucks. I was thinking about putting carpet back in but I just wanted to paint it all first just so I have the satisfaction of knowing that it isn't all red under the carpet, and that I can be secure stripping it all down when I want to and not seeing that damn red blinding me.
