contact patch. traction. and because with the right bumper, lips and hammered fender arches, it looks completely normal.

i called these guys and tried to buy the fenders right off their car (tongue in cheek)... they werent having it. lol.
yea, on a normal oem-ish honda, it looks ridiculous, but when you start swapping bumpers, beating up fenders, putting big brakes on it, its a different story. and truth be told, i dont care what it looks like, i just want it to catch traction sometime during 3rd.

j's fender would be good for anything up to 235 40 17 with ~20 offset, with 235, 30~ offset with 255, if you need more than that you can prop up the bottom of the fender like they did in the last 2 pics you posted, you lift up the bottom of the fender which arches it out more, evo people do it all the time

its going to cost me about 1200 dollars and a week worth paperwork to legally change the title from 1.6L 5MT 4 passenger to 2.4L 6MT 2 passenger.
its done the same way as the guys who go from SR20DE AT in a 180SX to SR20DET MT.

when you say "rock" and "style" and "17s" its a dead give away that its a fashion statement
a 195/55/15 (stock honda civic/integra wheel/tire) and a 205/40/17 have 23.44 and 23.46 tire height respectively, so virtually identical. so, im failing to see what the big deal is.
