Default 2004 Accord EX V6 - Rear Engine Mount

Hi all,

I did some searching but didnt find any procedures in the forums for this.

Also I work for a repair data information company and didnt find a procedure for this in any of our OEM data.

I did the passengerside mount and the font mount last night with relative ease but the rear mount calls for 3 hours labor time to R&R...not wanting to drag this out I figured I would hop on and see if anyone had done this before and had any info on it.

Whats the easiest way to remove and replace this mount?

Note: The front and side mounts were completely destroyed...torn in two pieces.

Ok...quick update...

I did find the figures for it I but still no procedures. I see that the mount sits on a bracket that bolts from the bottom of the car. I assume I wont be able to get the bracket and the mount out as once piece...

This is exactly why I hope someone has done this and can give me the short and sweet version ha ha.

Well...I tackled it last night and the rear mount was easier than the front.

Still some vibration in the steering wheel and my keys chatter quite a bit...this is annoying.

I am about to try this on a 2003 accord.

Can you please explain the steps that you took?
Did you remove any coolant hoses?
Did you do this from the top or under the car?

Thank you!

With all mounts...support the engine from the oil pan...block of wood and any jack will do.

Side mount: Move PS resivoir out of the way...remove the upper bracket. Remove the mount. Easty stuff.

Front Mount: Remove the coolant overflow resivoir. Remove the upper radiator hose and bend it back out of the way. Remove the driver side fan. Remove the stop bracket...remove the mount. Jack the engine up a little slide the new one in...bring it down on the new mount and bolt it up.

Rear Mount: Remove the stop bracket. Unbolt the mount. I pulled the old mount up and out amongst the wires and junk right behind the intake plenum. And put the new mount in the same way. It took a little wiggling and some patience but much easier than going from the bottom. Trust me. Bolt the mount in. Lower the engine onto the mount and you are good to go.

Thats how I did it all anyway. Worked out fine for me.
