Window Motor
Passenger window stopped working on my 05 Accord Coupe. Took the panel off to find out my motor's shot. Any suggestions on where to buy this part for cheap?

Re: Window Motor
you can look locally for one at your local dismantlers, or you can do a web search for dismantlers...
if you write to one or two, that usually enough because they do there own nation wide search when you ask for the part. I am sure you can find one

Re: Window Motor
Before doing anything, check to make sure that the power window main switch is turned on.
List price for the passenger side window regulator assembly (including the motor) is $162.15 - this is the price you would pay (plus applicable sales tax) at your local Honda dealership parts department unless they mark up parts prices above list.
You can buy one from various Honda dealership online parts wholesale sites for $122ish plus shipping costs; part number is 72210-SDN-A02.
Frankly, I'd get one used from an import salvage yard as MSchu suggested if you're looking to save money. Should be well under $100.
Are you sure the motor is the culprit? I've had several power window main switch failures in '03-07 Accords, but only a handful of broken regulator cables and only one bad motor. Are you getting power at the motor connector when the switch is pressed?

Re: Window Motor
Switch is fine. We unplugged everything plugged it all back in and checked all connectors, it still didn't work so we literally took the back of a screw driver, tapped on the motor a couple of times and it started working again. I took it to my cousin who works for BMW so I'm pretty confident it is the motor. I bought the car used so I figured little things like this would come up. No big deal, I'll call up a salvage yard and see what I can get. For now I'll keep running it until the motor dies for sure. Thanks Targa I really appreciate it
