VTEC noise at startup
I've an '09 model, if the engines been off for hours at especially a day there's a rattle when I start it. It goes away quickly and never seems to be there when the engines only been off a few hours.
Is this bad? Thankfully I've still a good bit of warranty left.

Re: VTEC noise at startup
hello again, lol just posted on another one of your threads. Looks like you've got a faulty VTC (Variable Timing Cam) Actuator which is the cam gear on your engine which is capable of advancing or retarding cam timing via oil passages built into the head as well as the VTC actuator itself. Again, another common issue with your gen accord and our K series in general. The general complaint is rattle on cold start up. Time for a service appointment my friend, definitely NOT something you want to pay for once you are out of warranty, labour on this job is not cheap and you'd be doing yourself a favor bringing it in before your warranty expires.
