tachometer problem on 2008 accord ex-l v6
hi guys, does anyone know why the tachometer seems to struggle to move to its idle position on cold days. sometimes i even have it at zero while im driving to places(as though the car is in turned off). is it due to a lack of some kind of fluid or is it normal to be stuck at one position on start up when it is cold outside. in these situations, i normally have to wait until the car warms up a bit before i turn the engine off and turn it back on for the correct reading to be read on the tachometer.thanks in advance

Never heard of this happening... could be a electronic connection issue. try your dealer since it's still under warranty.
you said struggles to move, does it move or is it completely at zero when you rev the engine?

when i drive, it just doesnt move on cold days so it sits at zero on the tachometer, but if it does by chance be a bit of a better day, the tachometer doesnt move up and down smoothly, it tends to jump from one spot to the other as though its lagging .

You might want to drop it off late in the day so the dealer will have it first thing in the morning. That way they will be able to see it happen.

unfortunetly correcting the short didn't fix it for me. needed a new cluster.
