To swap or not to swap?(Engine)
I have an 07 Accord 4cyl. I was thinking about 2 things.
1. builting the motor I have now(internals of course, fully done)
(I cant find parts for internals for my engine currently...please help)
OR
2. Swap (but not sure what would be the best motor to do so?(Im looking for a engine that can handle atleast some where near 450 plus. Turbo will be added later or if needed to get where I wanna be)
I had a 05 G35 coupe and traded for a new odessey and my Accord. So I want to be able to smoke my old vechicle in flames, but never the less enjoy the vechicle I have now with the rest of my dudes with Hondas that smoke me...I appreciate all the input.

Re: To swap or not to swap?(Engine) (00b20vtecoupe)
Good looking out. I also found a stroker kit from Brian Crower. I will def go with K20A/K20Z head found in the 06-up Civic. Hopefully some good gains to come...

IMHO dont swap. Just build the motor. You already have a K24 in there. If your swapping anything you would want to go bigger.

might want to start by getting basic/expensive **** first. You will find good gains from intake, good header, exhaust, and hondata. You need that anyways to do anything else. Then worry about building the engine. Maybe some suspension/brake work will keep you from killing yourself, once you have 300whp monster.

Re: To swap or not to swap?(Engine) (ABK)
I know it says noob near my name but I'm far from that lol. I just got rid of my 05 G35 coupe built w/powerlab turbo and I was running 619hpSo high horsepower is not going to kill me. Its how you drive and handle your V. Thanks for the input. I go big or go home! Thats my motto.
I wanna built it right. But to be honest I;m not fimilar with Honda engines at all/as far as finding and mixing the best build. Im doing my homework now. Hopefully with everyones input and help, I can get this engine done right.
P.S Sorry for the big as pic

those k motors r crazy if ur planning on going turbo start stacking parts but if u wanna go all motor like he said above get a header and exhaust and an intake and tune it on k pro and they make stupid power. then from there plan out ur build for later...

well if you want it to kick your vq35's *** you might want to scrap the allmotor idea in a heavy *** accord. Suggest going with turbo, pistons, rods, k20 head.
If you are planning on staying all motor, bolt ons, built engine (maybe sleeved), and swapping the accord trans out for a shorter one is your best bet.

It's going to be pretty tough to smoke that old car into flames. If you're talking straight line, freeway runs or something, Def do built motor + turbo.
