Default scraping suond from arm rest

Have an 07 Accord LX.

The armrest in the center scrapes as if there was a piece of paper or some plastic coating hanging down internally.

I'm wondering if anyone has advice on how to remove the top part so that I can find the culprit and repair it without damaging the armrest and its sliding-shaft.

If you can take a picture or two with the arm rest in the open position and post it, I can try to add info. on it, which may help you.

Sorry for the long delay in responding...had military duty for a few days...

Attached is a photo.

Again, it's some sort of scraping sound that is comparable to paper being in there and bunching up, or plastic coating hanging down from something...

I just don't know which screws to go after and how to disassemble...

I wanted to see how the actual armrest looked like first, as the view is rotated in the first of these images:

Thanks, I'll be giving this a shot tomorrow or Wednesday.

Any thoughts on if there's thin plastic or paper tags in there by default that may come loose with a lot of sliding use?

No sure. It could be a part that broke or came loose. Honda does sell a few of the parts separately though.

Thanks. The diagram worked great. Apparently there's a a sticky label in there, and its stickiness had worn off and was dangling so it would drag with the slider... Removed that and no more scraping sound.
