hello fellow accord owners. i have been in the civic game quite some time and have just recently decided to buy a third vehicle for my small family. i want to get an accord preferably 03 and above. it has to be automatic and hopefully the EX version. my question is are there any issues for certain models or years that i should stear away from. like is the V6 less reliable compared to the V4. it will be primarily used as a vehicle for the family. all help is appreciated

V6 automatic does have a history with the transmission. Some are lucky, some are not.

Other than that, it's pretty much an Accord as you expected. There were some concerns with rear brakes wearing out too soon, and OEM battery dead too early, but let's just call that "maintenance" or cost cutting.

As a past owner of 06 EX I4, that was the most "perfect" Honda I owned (not counting the "maintenance" stuff I mentioned above.)

Since you are getting it used, I'm sure you know all the other stuff to look for.

I would buy a Gen 7 Accord again - today.

thanks for the info.... will try to steer away from the V6... i wanted the V4 anyways cause im assuming better gas mileage
