Am I just the most conservative braker in the world? The dealer said it has 4 mm left. I do a lot of freeway driving, and the place I live, Santa Barbara, usually has wide open streets that aren't too stressful to drive in, so that's probably why.

Brake pads still good at 108K?! Thats pretty rare, I know front pads are the first to go (and they go pretty quick) but 108K on the original rear brakes....not bad.
Keep a close eye on them, other than that keep up the way you drive.

04 Accord EX V-6 in the family and I just replaced the rear pads for the first time, 121,000 miles, a good share of highway miles but still.
I have an 05 Civic with 70K and the rear shoes are at half the thickness of the new shoes, front brakes are still AOK as well. Go figure. if it were a Chevy Malibu we replaced my aunt's brakes every 12-15,000 miles. POS.

I see cars in front of me that are accelerating, with the brake lights on (left foot resting on the brake pedal). You know these are some of the same people complaining about premature brake wear and brake problems. You two guys are obviously not two foot drivers.
