Default Honda Accord LX 2004 with 20' Rims

Hello everyone, I recently picked up 20" rims for my 2004 Honda Accord. But some of my friends are saying to switch them asap as they can mess the transmissions up.

Is this true?

Thank you.

I don't think it will mess up your transmission per se. However if the new rolling stock is noticeably heavier than the stock wheels, your ride quality, braking, acceleration, and MPG may be affected negatively.
