Honda Accord Battery Indicator Lamp on
Hi there,
I replaced my battery 2 months ago and alternator 2 years ago. Sunday my battery charging indicator lamp came on and my car drove for about 80 miles during the day with everything cut off (radio, heat, etc)
Last night I started it to let it warm up with heat on, lights, etc.... ran for 5 min and turned off. It will still crank making the clicking noise, but won't start... There was some corrosion at top of battery, but haven't tried jumping it yet. I'm guessing it's my alternator or cables at this point... any suggestions before having it towed to the dealership?

have the auto part store test the battery, they usually check it for free. there might be a bad connection, or your cable might have a bad connection.

Re: Honda Accord Battery Indicator Lamp on
Update? I have a feeling it is a bad alternator and corrosion on the positive terminal. I recommend a new alternator because your system is not charging and a fresh terminal so your alt doesnt have to work so hard. The alt on these cars is a weak point. Expect replacing every 2-5 years, it will fail.
