Default G7 and G8 Racing Accords (?)

In another thread, somebody said that Accords aren't supposed to be raced, and that reminded me that there are some G7 Accords in the Grand Am series.

HART even campaigns a G7 Accord in the Street Tuner class of Grand Am.

That 22 car is basically (if stock) my car. How much you think it's lowered? I'd like to lower mine a little, but with the pot holed roads here and the relatively stiff stock suspension, I'm a little hesitant to do it.

If you think the stock suspension on your Accord is "relatively stiff", do not lower it by any means!

That's awesome!! Does anyone know if HART is receiving factory support? It think that would be great for Honda to do for the Accords.

It is not factory support per se. The team is made up of Honda engineers who work out of the factory in Ohio after hours. I'm pretty sure there is some support in the form of parts and I'm not sure if they have to pay for the cars or are allowed to use test cars or something but they are definately not a "factory" team. They do incredibly well with what they have.

I guess this explains why we always see red H all over Mid-Ohio all the time.

Yes, Marysville. Though, I think they have more than one plant in Ohio now.

I've seen several do that. I can't feel it when it happens to me. This is a pic of mine a couple years ago:

It mightn't even be the best sign. I remember when H1 was full of cars w/no suspension droop at all, and the race winners always had about six inches of air through Turn 10 at Summit.

Now the H1 winners barely leave the ground at all...but their lap times are much faster.

That might also have to do with the H1 front runners having a more reliable 220whp on tap as well I was under the impression that most still had low-droop suspensions.

Ever see a Porsche go through Turn 10 with the front wheel up? Now, that's pretty scary.

Is it low droop suspensions that cause dog legging? I thought it was the swaybars that caused it.

Both, I think. Definitely not JUST the swaybars, as for the same cornering speeds and same swaybar (but different shocks) I've seen one car dogleg and one not.
