Crosstour Exl 2010 - Blown radio fuse
Hello,
I was driving when suddenly my speakers went out and I could smell the burnt fuse along with it. In the past months, I connected a sub woofer to the stock one which everything sounded great. While I can confirm I never split any wires or altered the original connections, I am afraid this may be the reason for the speakers to go out. Every time I replace the fuse, the new one blows again while plugging it in!
My question is this: Is it possible the stock amp that leads to the speakers has its own fuse for protection? If so, should I start by replacing that fuse? I know a 3rd party amp has it's own fuses for protection but am not sure if the stock one would. I assume to start here since I have already removed the old sub and made sure everything is clean. IF not, I am sure I will need a multi meter to test voltage inspect each connector. If this turns out to be the case, are there any suggestions on where to start? Is there a diagram out there to shows each of the connectors that would need observed?
Thank you!!
