coming over from the old accord section
hi,
I'm new to this section...
Current owner of an 02 accord lx, considering getting a newer one.
To begin, the 02 had 170k miles. Runs good, no major issues. I've kept up on maintenance items like timing belt, oil changes, brakes, etc. As a result, it's a nicer than average 14 year old car. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country.
The other side is that it's a 14 year old car that is just showing signs of age. it could use new tires sooner than later. it's starting to rust along the edge of one of the wheelwells. it's got some dents and dings, and doesn't smell as fresh as it did ten years ago. plus, it burns some oil (very little, but still) and to be honest, I'm just getting kind of bored with it. I'm thinking of trading it in on a newer car, either an 08+ accord, or an 07+ camry. whichever I choose, it'll be like this accord was... one owner, well maintained, and in any color that fits. I do nothing with this except drive it to work and then home from work. What's the general consensus here about the newer accords? I know since this is honda-tech, I won't get any positive advice about the camry option, which is fine. anything I should strive for, avoid, or demand?

All I will say is if you find a v6, just be sure you have a good idea if the timing belt was changed or if it is coming "due".
