Brakes seem to grab...
I just bought an '03 V6 Accord w/ 68000 miles and I've noticed the brakes seem to be overly sensitive. For example, when applying normal braking I have to be very careful not to press the pedal too hard to avoid a very hard stop. In other words, the pedal distance of the point where the brakes begin to engage and the point of maximum braking power is very short.
I was just wondering if this is a car specific thing which I'm going to have to be come accustomed to or is there something I can check?

is it engagement point or travel? if its engagement point then you can lower it slightly, if its travel then you may need to get another compound to soften the initial bite. personally I think an aggressive bite is better and I suggest more driver based modulation instead of trying to augment the mechanical portion of the equation

I have the same 03 V6, and when we first got the car we had trouble with the brakes feeling grabby. You get used to it quickly, at least we did, and it's normal now. Your own braking habits should compensate eventually. I had forgotten all about it, till you mentioned it. The car still works the same, we have adjusted to it.

Re: Brakes seem to grab...
I honestly haven't had the time to investigate further. The problem, if there is any problem, hasn't gotten any worse. I'm almost convinced it's a new car thing and I'll just have to train myself to only slightly press the brake pedal. My previous vehicle was an s10 pickup which I had to slam the pedal to the floor to stop.
There sure is a lot of dust that accumulates on the front two wheels though. The back two don't have any residue on them at all.

For meh was teh same. I believe that teh brake is very sensitive. I don't even have to press hard to get teh car to slow down hard. I've had my 06 for over 6 months now and gotten used to it. I believe it's more of getting used to it.
*I still get teh grabby brakes when I'm in my work boots*
