This is a 2011 Crosstour, I can't imagine the regular Accord is any different.....

Trip computer is on Nav screen. This is from the manual.

Trip Computer
The Trip computer screen displays the
trip information from the gauge
assembly.
When you say or select Trip
Computer, the display changes to:
Instant Fuel
Shows you the current instantaneous
fuel economy in miles per gallon (mpg).
Average Fuel
Shows you the average fuel economy in
miles per gallon (mpg) since the gauge
trip meter was last reset.
Elapsed Time
Shows the elapsed time that the ignition
has been on.
Average Speed
Shows you the average speed in miles
per hour (mph) since the trip meter was
last reset.
Range
Shows the estimated distance you can
travel on the fuel remaining in the tank.
This distance is estimated from the
average fuel economy over the last
several miles, so it will vary with
changes in speed, traffic, etc.
NOTE:
• Information from the Trip Computer
will be displayed only when the
ignition is on.
• The “Instant Fuel” and “Average
Fuel” may vary from actual fuel
consumed. These values are estimates
only.
• The “Range” is only an estimate.
Always monitor your vehicle’s fuel
gauge to determine the appropriate
time to refuel.

I'm not doubting it isn't visible on the navigation screen, but for example the Crosstour has OEM navigation as well, do you really think they would remove the trip monitor from the cluster and give it its own cluster for just the navigation models?

Also the EX-L he mentioned does not have navigation, doing a quick browse on Honda's site however -

Click on EX-L tab
Click on View Standard Features link
Click on Interior tab
Click on Maintenance Minder™ System link

And look at the cluster, that and the description given for the system indicates the trip system is also available in the cluster for navigation models and only available there for non-navigation models.

*edit* I also would not call what you posted a "basic" trip system.....

The trip monitor is still in the gauge cluster with the nav - A or B or odometer.

I think of the Accord trip computer as basic as that is the same info that I had on a 1988 Eagle. Nothing new in 20 years?

Miles on trip - check
Average MPG - check
Average speed - check
Instant MPG - check
Time - check

I agree it's nothing revolutionary but not like anything is really missing. I have always had the "basic" trip computer where you reset it and all it does is count miles; 2009 S2000's were still like that , now that's basic.

I've got a 2011 Honda Accord EX-L 4 cylinder without Navigation, and was wondering the trip computer has the MPG display?

At present, when I press the button on the display (behind the steering wheel), the LCD screen cycles through odometer/temp/trip A/trip B, temp, oil life - no MPG option is shown.

It seems a bit odd that this would be missing, though I can't find any reference to it in the manual either, and am wondering if Honda really have left this out from the trip computer.

Correct, it's not on the Hondas without Nav. GM (for example) have it standard, and it's great. However, keep in mind, even that is not accurate.

Let's say I'm filling up on a gas station on top of a hill. Reset it. Then start driving. You will see 99MPG on instant anytime you ease off the gas. By the time you reach the red light at the bottom of the hill, your Avg MPG would say 78.3MPG. I know the counter point to what I just said, so it is good to have a AVG MPG. But the fact that it does not on a Honda w/o Nav IMO is not a big deal.

I calculate on my own, and using a excel spreadsheet. It allows me to do more and analyze more trends and patterns.
