2007 Accord Surging, Multiple codes
I am not a Honda guy.
However; my wife loves hers and I'm the one who has to fix it, so I need your help.
Over the past week, her 2007 Accord 2.4 has been surging at stops and occasionally makes a rattle on start up. I used my code scanner to retrieve the following codes:
P0011
P0341
P1009
I'm not trying to make you folks do my legwork for me; but I'm a college student in my final semester and have no time to sleep, let alone chase this stuff down. I'll probably take it to Price anyway, but I'd like to know what I'm looking at when I go.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 2007 Accord Surging, Multiple codes
P0011 is incorrect camshaft timing
P0341 Camshaft sensor is bad
Can also be attributed to poor wiring or recieving interference
P1009 Faulty VTC actuator
Can be caused by dirty oil or blockage in the pathways
If anyone else has other thoughts on these fill free to correct... I pulled these codes from engine-codes.com

If I had to strictly guess I'd say you need at vtc actuator, a timing chain and a tensioner and hopefully your chain didn't jump teeth and damage the engine.

Does it consume oil?
I had a 2.4l 2003 accord that consumed a LOT of oil. The camshaft position sensor code came on. It idled really rough, and a few months later the timing chain skipped and cylinder 3 blew. Get that chain and tensioner repaired soon!

Re: 2007 Accord Surging, Multiple codes
Hello New user so sorry to resurrect this thread but I have a related question about my car. Honda Accord 2006 EX. I recently was running into p2646 code and managed to clear that by changing the oil. I happened to buy some related parts to fix that code, and figured I would go ahead and change the VVT solenoid because I already bought it. After 2 days my new solenoid threw the p0011 code. I noticed while inspecting the solenoid the clip was broken where it clicks down. My question is, without having the computer to test the new solenoid or taking it out and testing it manually, is it safe to assume the broken connector threw the code? Or is this code more specific that just general power failure would not throw it. The plug was not unplugged but it wasn't snug. I still have the old one and might just put it back in and wire tie the connector on until I can get a new one, but im wondering if I should change it back at all. Thanks for any input.
Edit: For anyone curious, I cleaned and reinstalled the old part and wire tie'd it and the code is gone. I am trying to find a replacement clip though, so if anyone knows where to get one or the part number please let me know. I found this link below on amazon and it looks just like it, might purchase and give it a shot. Cheers.
