2007 Accord SE - Pl identify this connector
Hi,
I have 2007 Accord SE 4 cyl. Attached is a picture from driver seat fuse box forward area. There is a large yellow connector with two blue wires; without any identification marking. Can someone identify what this connector is for?
Small yellow connector with blue and brown wires says 'MES'.
Thanks.

Re: 2007 Accord SE - Pl identify this connector
They are ignition input power wires from the under-dash fuse box to the SRS unit. Power comes through when the ignition switch is in the ON (II) or START (III) positions.
One wire is power coming via under-dash Fuse No. 10 (7.5A) and the other wire is power coming via under-dash Fuse No. 22 (10A).

I had airbag light ON (SRS code 2-2, 5-4, 2-2 again - didn't repeat afterward). I was clearing code but shorted this connector instead MES. Hopefully no damage occured. Airbag light is off now when used correct MES connector.
Thank You tech8.

No damage should have occurred by jumping the harness side, since those are the power input wires coming from the fuse box side. Essentially, nothing would have occurred by doing that.
