2007 Accord SE - Creaking Noise in front suspension
I have a 2007 Honda Accord SE with 42k miles on it. Recently (within the past month or so), I noticed a creaking noise in the front end when I go over a small bump at low speed. I can recreate the noise when I'm on the outside of the car by pressing down on the front fender (compressing the front suspension). Both the left and right side act the same way.
Anyone else encounter this? Is this a known issue with this model Accord?
I just had the car at the dealership a month ago for annual PA state inspection and they did not indicate that anything is wrong. But I hadn't mentioned to them anything about the creaking noise as that didn't start occuring until after the car was inspected.
Thanks.
Brad

It sounds familiar. Does the noise also happen when turning while coming to a stop? Honda has not posted a bulletin yet that I know of, but they have come out with an updated strut assembly (spring and all). It's not as expensive as you would think. It's not a safety problem, just annoying. If I remember correctly I think each strut assembly is right around $200.00.

I have had a few issues with the bearing plate on top of the strut goin bad. Its cheaper then buyin a whole strut and it usually fixes the problem.
