2006 Transmission
Hello all!
Can someone can confirm 2006 accord 2.4 tranny is a B7WA? Having trouble finding a vin decoder that gives the tranny code.
Also, I'm looking for a high quality OEM parts supplier for this unit. Recommendation welcome.
Thank you to OP in this thread: https://honda-tech.com/honda-accord-.../#post50131285
Also, anyone suggest bench-mount cradle for this unit?
Thanks in advance,
Bill

Re: 2006 Transmission
In addition to previous post, my 06 2.4 accord is shuttling btw 3 & 4 (?) at 40 mph with neutral throttle position. I always shift it to d3 when driving at this speed.
I am not positive about which gears the shuttling occurs, 3/4 is my best guess.
Problem description: shifts smoothly while accelerating from stop to 40mph. When cruising at 40, the tranny can't seem to get comfortable in one hear. If I drop it to d3, runs fine. At any other speed, tranny runs smooth and seems to work as designed. Fluid looks good and no codes have ever been set, but only reading std codes. My scanner can't read extended OBDII codes.
Vehicle has 135k, so planned to rebuild the tranny. Vehicle has never had any problems at all beyond typical maintenance items. Car will be going to my son for college use, because of its dependability and fuel mileage, so tranny rebuild seems best course of action.
I have considered buying a used low mileage tranny, but it have no idea about which units are compatible for which years. If anyone can help out, I'd appreciate any suggestions or info.
I would prefer to rebuild a unit and still be able to drive the vehicle until tranny is complete.
Appreciate any ideas,
Bill
