2006 Accord keeps frying combination switch...???
Hi all,
I've been having a problem with my 2006 Accord. Completely randomly, the headlights and flashers stopped working while driving on the highway. Using the Honda manual for "Combination Light Switch Test/Replacement" I was able to narrow it down to the combination switch -- was also able to jump some of the connectors to make the headlights and flashers work. So I replaced the combo switch, turned on the car, everything seems fine.
Problem solved, right? Wrong.
The new combination switch also stops working. I decided to rip open the old combination switch and I found a break in the circuit board that leads to the ground (?, black) wire, as seen in the pics below. Opened up the new combination switch and I'm seeing the same thing.
Worth noting is that I recently replaced the alternator in the car with a pretty cheap unit. Maybe I'm getting some voltage surges? I checked the battery voltage, while running its a pretty constant ~14V.
How can this be happening? Help!
Thanks in advance.

Obviously one of the branches of the circuit is shorted. Unless youre good with electrical troubleshooting, and have the tools necessary, your best bet is to find a good repair shop.
