2005 Accord LX 4cyl 2.4 engine O2 sensor
Does anyone know if the 2005 Accord LX 4cyl 2.4 engine secondary heated O2 sensor is one that you have to remove the passenger seat to disconnect?
I do not have a service manual or access to Alldata or Mitchell's. I did manage to find a diagram for the location of the sensor. And a thread on another forum talking about having to remove pass seat on an '03.
Also Bosch shows OE replacement as part # 15409.
Just wanted to know what I'm getting into here before I get started. Thanks

Try sliding the passenger seat all the way forward, you may able to see and reach the O2 sensor connector.
I would get the OEM part # 36532-RAA-A02 instead of the Bosch part. Your car is non-Calif., right?

Looks just like that. I ended up going with the Bosch part because I could get it at O'Reilly and it was about $25 cheaper than the dealer part. And they even loaned me the sensor socket set to take it off. The procedure pretty much went exactly as in this thread I found earlier.
I did end up having to loosen the seat a bit, which made it easier to get to. The Bosch replacement part looked exactly the same as the original, boot and all. The only noticeable difference was in the placing of the little rubber spacer thing that helped fit the cable into the clips underneath.
All in all about a 15 minute job, not counting the time I spent figuring what I was doing.
Just out of curiosity, any real reason to go with the Bosch rather than OEM part?
This job was a success. Dealer wanted about $300 for parts, labor and tax out the door. I did it for $65 and a little elbow grease.
Thanks for the help!

If the Bosch part works fine, then it is should be no real difference. In older Hondas, some people claim the Bosch O2 sensor didn't work well. OEM O2 sensors usually were made by Denso, although I haven't checked who the OEM manufacturer is for the current O2 sensor.
Good to hear you were able to do it easily.
