2004 Honda Accord transmission trouble
I have a 2004 Accord. while traveling for about 2+ hours and I have to admit, I was pushing it, averaging about 80 mph, when all of a sudden, I felt this lurch, if you will, and then I started losing power. I saw the speedometer start to decrease, so I started to pull over and by the time I did, it kicked back in and I was driving again. After I got off the freeway and came to a 4 way stop, the car was idling fine. As I started to proceed, when the car got up to about 20-25 mph, I felt it surge again. It did this two more times. When I got home and in the driveway, I turned the car off and waited a few minutes before starting it again. Leaving it in park, I depressed the accelerator and as it approached 20-25 mph, the needle started surging up and down, as if I was feathering the accelerator. Has anyone ever dealt with this type of problem? Could it be a sensor, a module or a relay? Wondering what to do.

Is there a CEL on? D5 light flashing? Check the fluid, and it's condition. Most likely it's the common internal failure. Some people try the 3x3 drain and fill, and change the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches along with the inline filter.
